“Abundant Life”
At age 20, I read the scripture John 10:10 and wanted “life and life more abundantly” and to know God’s plan and purpose for my life. My passion is to help men in Teen Challenge find that same abundant life that I have found in serving Christ.
I was raised in Bloomington, Indiana and attended Indiana University for two and one-half years. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from Trinity Bible College in North Dakota in 1975.
It has been my privilege to pastor three churches in Oregon including “New Creation Ministries”, a Teen Challenge church that currently serves the men, their families, and the surrounding community.
I joined the staff of Teen Challenge in 1991, serving as Educational Director and Counselor. In November 2006, I was asked to serve as Executive Director of the Willamette Valley Men's Center (formerly Lebanon Men’s Center). My prior training and experiences as Senior Pastor and over 15 years at Teen Challenge has prepared me for “such a time as this.”
The most rewarding part of my ministry at Teen Challenge has been working with the men. It is exciting to see them learn,
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Cor 5:17 NIV
