Spokane Men's Center is located just outside of Spokane on a 30-acre farm. We have a beautifully remodeled Administration building that gives you a feeling of being in a mountain lodge. Our chapel seats 60 with high tongue and groove wood ceilings. Café style eating facilities and commercial kitchen give a person a warm atmosphere for meal time.
We have a residential building that can comfortably fit 35 students recently outfitted with 15 new mattresses for our most senior students. Newer buildings and beautiful atmosphere are a good start but a center wouldn’t be Teen Challenge without the wonderful people who work there. We have great staff (see bios) who love to work with our students to see their lives reclaimed. Some of our staff were previous students at Spokane and were invited to stay on as interns and staff members. The hard work of loving the students is on the shoulders of these very capable people.
When a student comes to Spokane Men's Center he is warmly welcomed by staff and students alike. The intake process helps the staff understand each student and their particular needs. A counselor is assigned to them and they are partnered with senior students to help them get settled. Daily life can be described as consistent and busy. Early rise, meals, classroom time, chapel, work program, and chores are daily events. Each student has a schedule from morning until evening. We believe a great part of recovery is being busy accomplishing something of worth.
